PLEASE TAKE NOTICE
TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF THE Annual Memorial Grant Awards [AMGA]
In 1995 The John Vincent Peter Copani Memorial Foundation for the Arts began papering the house by distributing free tickets to entertainment events as a way to support the Annual Memorial Grant Awards [AMGA] given to not-for-profit theatre companies in need of seed money for future productions. The dream was to develop a permanent AMGA Theater Supporting Theatre [TST] funding system.
In 1996 the JVPC Memorial Foundation announced in a letter to the Off-Off, Off Broadway and Broadway theater community to inform them that the JVPC Memorial Foundation had selected Audience Extras to distribute those TST paper tickets for the JVPC Memorial foundation in exchange for AE’s support for The Memorial Foundation’s ANNUAL MEMORIAL GRANT AWARDS.
The AMGA has survived giving AMGA to the present, in spite of many trials and tribulations, including a large amount of missing funds previously earmarked for the AMGA. We are deeply saddened by the events bringing us to inform you that the AMGA will be temporarily suspended. As soon as these funds are recuperated you may expect a resumption of the AMGA to exceed the initial 1996-7-8-9 level of presentation.
You may have noticed that the AMGA and any mention of the JVPC Memorial Foundation for the Arts has disappeared from the Audience Extras website as of the beginning of this year 2013 disrupting the ambience between Audience Extras and the JVPC Memorial Foundation for the arts as it had existed since 1995.
The JVPC Memorial foundation for the arts is asking theatres to please apply for the AMGA and/or renew your request for an AMGA as we anticipate the resumption of the AMGA in the very near future.
